Artemis II launches April 1 from KSC — first crewed lunar flight in 53 years

NASA's SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft lifted off April 1 at 18:35 from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39B. Wiseman, Glover, Koch, and Hansen will conduct a roughly 10-day lunar flyby mission, marking the first human flight beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo 17.
