Tesla Beats EPS Consensus but CapEx Guidance Exceeds Expectations by $5 Billion

Tesla reported first-quarter adjusted EPS of $0.41, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.37, but revenue of $22.39 billion fell short of the consensus of $22.64 billion. The stock initially gained 4% in after-hours trading but surrendered the gains following Tesla's announcement that annual capital expenditures would exceed prior guidance by $5 billion.
