KOSPI Hits Record High of 6,557 Intraday Before Retreating; Foreign Selling Pressure Intense

The KOSPI climbed to an all-time high of 6,557.76 during intraday trading on April 23 but closed up 0.90% at 6,475.81. The index showed significant volatility, declining to 6,372.23 by 12:57 p.m., pressured by substantial foreign selling of 209 billion won and institutional selling of 122 billion won. SK Hynix fell 1.9% after hitting a record intraday high.
