Google to Invest Up to $40B in Anthropic

Google announced on April 24 that it will immediately invest $10B in Anthropic at a $350B valuation, with an additional $30B contingent on achieving performance milestones. The structure combines cash and computing resources, strategically diversifying away from OpenAI dependency. As a result, AI accounted for 66% ($37B) of global VC funding in April.
