Waymo Tests Chinese Minivan in Detroit; Expands Sixth-Generation Stack

Waymo was spotted testing a Chinese-made minivan (Geely) in Detroit, with its sixth-generation autonomous driving stack deployed simultaneously on the 800V platform Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Geely minivan. Currently operating 3,000 vehicles across 10 cities with 500,000 paid rides per week and 2 million cumulative autonomous miles. Waymo reaffirmed its goal to reach 1 million rides per week and 3,500 vehicles by year-end 2026.
