KOSPI & KOSDAQ Trigger Simultaneous Circuit Breakers for Second Consecutive Day — First Time in Korean Stock Market History
On July 29, the KOSPI fell an additional 360 points (5.98%) to close at 5,663.24, while the KOSDAQ also plunged 6.12%. It is the first time in Korean stock market history that both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ triggered simultaneous circuit breakers on two consecutive days. Following a 10.84% crash the day before (the 28th), the combined two-day decline reached 18%.
