Iran Proposes Strait of Hormuz Control Trade; Trump Signals Rejection

Iran presented a new proposal to the United States offering to end its control of the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting sanctions on its ports, but President Trump indicated unwillingness to accept. Putin and Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi held talks in St. Petersburg on April 27, further strengthening Iran-Russia coordination.
